Hey ladies,

I have watched the news segments on fashion, read fashion magazines, checked out Pinterest, and to my surprise, purple is on the list of color trends for this year. In fact it’s a major color trend this year. Who knew that purple would be such a big fashion craze this year! Being an individual who loves a good vibrant color, this is exciting news. I instantly thought about the diverse styles of purple and how I could add my own snazz to this year’s trends.

First let’s take a look at some of the different shades of purple we have to choose from!

They are all beautiful right?! And there are lots more to choose from!

Did you know that purple is associated with royalty? It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is also associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic and it evokes all of these meanings more so than any other color. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color. Variations of purple convey different meanings: Light purples are light-hearted, floral, and romantic. The dark shades are more intellectual and dignified.

2017 kicked off the start of the purple craze with the purple Balenciaga Knife Overknee boots that were so trendy, even the replicas looked stunning. Every female celebrity you could think of may have purchased a pair and multiple styles were created to rock these boots. My favorite style of these purple boots are the color block trend. Not only is this trend creative but it is fun, chic, elegant, street, and gives me rainbow vibes.

These purple Balenciaga boots are just one of the many excitements over the color purple. The whole purple color block trend is about to burst into overdrive this year so be on the lookout.

I remember growing up listen to the late great Prince who made wearing purple look magical. Even though he was seen wearing other vibrant colors, according to one of his siblings purple was his favorite color because it symbolizes royalty which was a great fit to Prince’s inevitable reputation as a king in the music industry, not to mention he wore purple more than any other color. It didn’t matter if it was the purple bell bottom pants or the wide sleeved blazers he wore to match, he made a statement that will live on forever.

What fashion statements are you going to leave this year? Remember what the color purple symbolizes you beautiful queens. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is also associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic. You all are virtuous and you have the ambition to create what ever it is you have hoped and dreamed for. Now go be magical!!!
